# How to Install UT Bot v2 on TradingView

> Add the free UT Bot v2 ATR trailing stop to your TradingView chart in a few steps.

UT Bot v2 is a public, open-source TradingView script. It works on any TradingView plan, including the free plan.

On TradingView its full name is **UT Bot v2 — ATR Trailing Stop**. On the chart it shows as **UT Bot v2**.

## Option 1: From the script page

**1. Open the script page**

Go to [UT Bot v2 — ATR Trailing Stop on TradingView](https://www.tradingview.com/script/lDGmh7ou-UT-Bot-v2-ATR-Trailing-Stop/) and sign in.

**2. Add it to your favorites**

Click **Add to favorites** (the star button). This saves the script to the Favorites list in your Indicators dialog.

**3. Add it to a chart**

Open a chart, click **Indicators** (or press <kbd>/</kbd>), select **Favorites**, and click **UT Bot v2 — ATR Trailing Stop**.

## Option 2: Search from the chart

**1. Open a chart**

Sign in to [TradingView](https://www.tradingview.com/) and open any chart (**Products → Supercharts**, or open a symbol and select **Full chart**).

**2. Open the Indicators dialog**

Click **Indicators** in the top toolbar, or press <kbd>/</kbd> on your keyboard.

**3. Search by name**

Search for UT Bot v2: type the indicator name into the search box. Community scripts are listed alongside built-in indicators. Make sure the author shown is **QuantNomad** — similarly named scripts by other authors are common.

**4. Add it to the chart**

Click the result once. The indicator is added to the active chart and the dialog stays open, so close it when you are done.

**5. Save it to Favorites (optional)**

Hover over the result and click the star icon. It then appears under **Favorites** in the Indicators dialog and in the favorites toolbar.

## What you'll see

Once added:

* **UT Bot v2** appears in the chart's status line (top-left).
* A **trailing stop line** is drawn on the price chart, green while the trend is up and red while it's down.
* **Buy** labels appear below bars and **Sell** labels above bars where the trend flipped.
* The **Strategy Tester** panel opens at the bottom of the screen with backtest results. This is because UT Bot v2 is a strategy. You can collapse the panel if you don't need it.

## Troubleshooting

> [accordion] Search shows lots of UT Bot scripts
>
> Many TradingView authors have published UT Bot variants. Look for **UT Bot v2 — ATR Trailing Stop** by **QuantNomad**, or use the direct link above.

> [accordion] I don't see any Buy or Sell labels
>
> Check **Show Buy/Sell Signals** is enabled in the settings. On a strongly trending chart, the last signal may be off-screen: scroll back. See [Troubleshooting](https://docs.quantnomad.com/support/troubleshooting.md) for other causes.

> [accordion] I don't want the Strategy Tester panel
>
> The panel opens because UT Bot v2 is a strategy. Collapse it using the arrow in the panel's top-right corner. The script keeps working on the chart.
