# Quick Start

> Add a QuantNomad indicator to your TradingView chart, adjust its settings, and create your first alert.

This guide takes you from zero to an indicator on your chart with an alert, in about five minutes.

**1. Pick an indicator**

* **Free:** [UT Bot v2](https://docs.quantnomad.com/free-indicators/ut-bot-v2/introduction.md) is available to anyone on TradingView.
* **Premium:** [UT Bot Suite](https://docs.quantnomad.com/premium-indicators/ut-bot-suite/introduction.md) requires a TradingView Paid Space subscription. See [Getting Access](https://docs.quantnomad.com/premium-indicators/ut-bot-suite/access.md).

**2. Add it to a chart**

Open a TradingView chart, click **Indicators** (or press <kbd>/</kbd>), and find the indicator:

* Free indicators: search by name and check that the author is **QuantNomad**.
* Premium indicators: add them to your favorites from their script pages, or open the **Invite-only** section of the Indicators dialog.

Full instructions: [Installing Indicators on TradingView](https://docs.quantnomad.com/getting-started/installation.md).

**3. Review the settings**

Hover over the indicator name on the chart and click the **Settings** (gear) icon. Every input is described in the indicator's settings reference:

* [UT Bot v2 settings](https://docs.quantnomad.com/free-indicators/ut-bot-v2/settings.md)
* [UT Bot Suite settings](https://docs.quantnomad.com/premium-indicators/ut-bot-suite/settings.md)

UT Bot v2 and UT Bot Pro are TradingView strategies, so the **Strategy Tester** panel also opens with backtest results.

**4. Learn to read the signals**

Before acting on any signal, read how the indicator generates it and when it is final. Start with [Understanding Indicator Signals](https://docs.quantnomad.com/guides/indicator-signals.md) and [Confirmed vs Unconfirmed Signals](https://docs.quantnomad.com/guides/confirmed-signals.md).

**5. Create an alert**

Click the **Alert** button (or press <kbd>Alt</kbd> + <kbd>A</kbd>), choose the indicator as the condition, select an alert condition, and click **Create**. See [Understanding TradingView Alerts](https://docs.quantnomad.com/getting-started/tradingview-alerts.md) before relying on alerts.

> [!WARNING]
>
> **Educational use only.** QuantNomad indicators are analysis tools, not financial advice. Signals can be wrong, past behavior does not predict future results, and trading involves substantial risk of loss. Read the full [Risk Disclaimer](https://docs.quantnomad.com/support/disclaimer.md).
