# UT Bot Suite Troubleshooting

> Fix common UT Bot Suite problems with subscription access, installation, UT Bot Pro signals and backtests, the Screener, and alerts.

## Access and installation

> [accordion] I subscribed but can't find the scripts
>
> Check you're signed in to the TradingView account you subscribed with, reload TradingView, and open the script pages from [Installation](https://docs.quantnomad.com/premium-indicators/ut-bot-suite/installation.md) to add them to your favorites. See [Getting Access](https://docs.quantnomad.com/premium-indicators/ut-bot-suite/access.md#if-the-indicator-is-missing).

> [accordion] The scripts stopped working
>
> Check your subscription status in your TradingView account settings. See [Premium Indicator Access](https://docs.quantnomad.com/support/premium-access.md).

## UT Bot Pro

> [accordion] There are fewer trades than I expected
>
> Several settings intentionally reduce trades: **Close + Buffer** and **X-Bar Confirmation** entry modes, **Use HTF Confirmation**, and a higher **Stop Multiplier**. Also check **Use Backtest Date Range**: trades are only placed between the start and end dates.

> [accordion] No trades at all
>
> Check the backtest date range covers the bars on your chart. With HTF confirmation on, check the **Higher Timeframe** is actually higher than the chart's timeframe, and that the HTF trend has agreed with a signal in the visible history.

> [accordion] Changing the Stop Multiplier does nothing
>
> If **Use Adaptive Multiplier** is on, the multiplier is set between **Min Mult** and **max Mult** instead. Turn adaptive mode off, or adjust those values.

> [accordion] Changing ATR Smoothing does nothing
>
> The smoothing settings apply to the **Smoothed ATR** stop engine. Check **Stop Engine** is set to `Smoothed ATR`.

> [accordion] Backtest results look too good
>
> Set realistic commission and slippage under **Settings → Properties**, and test over several periods and symbols. Backtests describe past data only.

> [accordion] The dashboard covers the Screener table
>
> Change **Dashboard Position** in UT Bot Pro, or **Table Location** in the Screener.

## Ultimate UT Bot Screener

> [accordion] The table shows the wrong symbols
>
> The Screener ships with crypto pairs as defaults. Replace them under **Symbols**, and untick slots you don't use.

> [accordion] A symbol shows no data
>
> Check the symbol exists on TradingView with that exact name, ideally with an exchange prefix (for example `NASDAQ:AAPL`). Also check its checkbox is ticked.

> [accordion] The table is empty after enabling a filter
>
> No symbols match the filter's range. Widen the minimum and maximum values, or disable the filter.

> [accordion] The Screener's signals don't match UT Bot Pro
>
> The Screener uses its own **Key Vaule** and **ATR Period** inputs and doesn't read UT Bot Pro's settings. Pro's other engines (stop engine, entry modes, HTF filter) don't apply to the Screener.

> [accordion] Move To Revert and Revert Prob keep changing
>
> Those columns describe the current, still-forming bar, so they update until the bar closes.

## General TradingView issues

> [!NOTE]
>
> **General TradingView information.** This section describes standard TradingView behavior, not a QuantNomad-specific feature. TradingView updates its interface regularly, so menu names and positions may differ slightly from what you see. When in doubt, check the [TradingView Help Center](https://www.tradingview.com/support/).

> [accordion] My alerts don't match the chart
>
> Alerts keep the settings from when they were created. Delete and recreate the alert after changing settings, and check it uses the same symbol and timeframe as the chart.

> [accordion] I get two alerts for every signal
>
> The alert is probably set to **Order fills and alert() function calls**. Choose one source. See [Alerts & Automation](https://docs.quantnomad.com/premium-indicators/ut-bot-suite/alerts.md).

> [accordion] My alerts stopped firing
>
> Check the **Alerts** panel: the alert may have expired or been stopped. TradingView can also stop alerts that trigger too often or hit a calculation error. For order fill alerts, check the backtest **End Date**.

> [accordion] The script is slow or shows a calculation error
>
> The Screener requests data for many symbols, which adds load. Try fewer active symbols, a shorter chart history, or fewer indicators on the chart. If the error persists, contact support with the exact error text.
