Config

These inputs control the trailing stop calculation. See How It Works for exactly how they’re used.
The multiplier input is labeled Multipier (sic) in TradingView. Look for that exact spelling in the settings dialog.

Backtesting Range

These inputs only affect the strategy’s simulated trades. They don’t change the trailing stop, signals, or signal alerts.

Display

Colors and line styles can be changed in the Style tab.

Strategy properties

The Properties tab holds TradingView’s standard strategy settings, such as initial capital, order size, commission, and slippage. UT Bot v2 doesn’t override them, so TradingView’s defaults apply, including zero commission and slippage. Set realistic values for your market before evaluating backtest results.

Tuning tips

  • Start with the defaults (1 and 10), then change one setting at a time.
  • Adjust Multipier first. It has the biggest effect on how often the trend flips.
  • Tune per symbol and timeframe. ATR is in price units per bar, so a setting that suits one chart won’t necessarily suit another.
  • Avoid over-fitting. Settings that look perfect on one stretch of history rarely stay perfect.
  • Recreate alerts after changing settings. Existing alerts keep the settings they were created with.
See ATR and Signal Sensitivity for more.

Save your settings

To use your settings on every new chart, click Defaults → Save as default at the bottom of the settings dialog.
