General TradingView information. This section describes standard TradingView behavior, not a QuantNomad-specific feature. TradingView updates its interface regularly, so menu names and positions may differ slightly from what you see. When in doubt, check the TradingView Help Center.
- Free indicators
Free indicators are published as public community scripts. Anyone with a TradingView account can add them. You can also add a public script from its page on TradingView: open the script page and click Add to favorites (or the equivalent button), then find it under Favorites in the Indicators dialog.
1
Open a chart
Sign in to TradingView and open any chart (Products → Supercharts, or open a symbol and select Full chart).
2
Open the Indicators dialog
Click Indicators in the top toolbar, or press / on your keyboard.
3
Search by name
Search for the indicator: type the indicator name into the search box. Community scripts are listed alongside built-in indicators. Make sure the author shown is QuantNomad — similarly named scripts by other authors are common.
4
Add it to the chart
Click the result once. The indicator is added to the active chart and the dialog stays open, so close it when you are done.
5
Save it to Favorites (optional)
Hover over the result and click the star icon. It then appears under Favorites in the Indicators dialog and in the favorites toolbar.
